In Elsy Spa’s exclusive baths, made of stainless acid-resistant steel (4404), the right water balance is a central part of maintenance. Balanced water ensures a long lifespan, maintained finish, and an optimal bathing experience.

Why is the right pH level essential in stainless steel hot tubs?

A too-low pH level (below 7.2) means the water becomes aggressive. It can:

  • Damage the stainless steel surface
  • Cause rubber seals to deteriorate faster
  • Irritate skin and eyes
  • Reduce the disinfecting effect of chlorine

Recommended water values for stainless steel hot tubs

For optimal water quality in your Elsy Spa, we recommend:

  • pH value: 7.2–7.6
  • Chlorine value: 1–3 mg/l (ppm)
